탕 - Tang Korean Restaurant
Tried out Tang in BGC and it’s a solid spot if you’re craving Korean comfort food with a slightly more premium feel. The menu leans into classic dishes, and for the most part, they execute them well.
The Food

Bossam
This was one of the better dishes of the meal. The pork was tender and cooked well, with a good balance of fat and lean. It doesn’t try to do too much, but the quality is there. The sauces help elevate it, adding a bit more depth and variety to each bite. The banchan also pairs nicely, giving you different ways to build each wrap. Overall, simple but well-executed.

Makchang
Good texture here. It’s crispy on the outside but still has that signature chew from the inside. Flavor-wise, it’s solid and works well with the dipping sauce. That said, the chew can be a bit much at times. Slightly less chew would make it more enjoyable and easier to keep going back for more.

Seolleongtang Ox Bone Soup
Very clean and comforting. The broth is rich and beefy without being too heavy, which is exactly what you want from this kind of soup. The beef itself is tender and generous enough. What stands out is how the added seasonings on the side help bring out more depth, letting you adjust the flavor to your liking. It’s a simple dish, but done properly.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Tang delivers a good dining experience with well-executed Korean classics. The food is consistent and satisfying, even if it doesn’t necessarily push boundaries. Service-wise, the front desk was friendly and welcoming, which sets a good first impression. During the meal, though, attentiveness from some of the servers could be better. Side dishes weren’t really explained unless asked, which takes away a bit from the experience. Still, the overall vibe is good, and it’s a place worth coming back to if you’re in BGC and looking for reliable Korean food.
